Mobile Phones Question And Answer
Do people in England get rid of their mobile phones?
I've seen in a documentary that people in England get rid of their mobile phones in special dustbin for recycling or whatever. Why would people want to dispose of their mobile phones instead of selling it?
Answers
Because no one wants cr*ppy old mobiles, probably.
Because they're under the disillusionment that they're doing someone in Africa a favour! When really they're lining a companies pockets who refurbs, packs and sells them to Africans!
In the UK, mobile phoone turn around is a lot higher than it is in say N America. UK contracts are only 12 months and the phone is free, so people are changing all the time.
A lot of people will try to sell their phone, but after it's one year old, there's not a lot of people out there that are willing to pay much for it. At least if you drop it in one of those bins it can go to a charity or get recycled properly (depending which bin you put it in)
We do that in Wales and also Scotland and Ireland too
Because no one would ever buy a old batty phone that deosn ot work would you???
No one wants an out-of-date mobile. They want one with the latest functions like WAP, or the ability to download from the internet. Also, if you were selling the phone, the buyer would want the SIM card as well, & if it's got the other person's numbers on it, they're going to have to spend time deleting the numbers & taking calls from the other person's friends who won't know the phone's been sold.
mine go in the kitchen drawer
some help charitys by giving your old mobile phone charitys get money for the recycling
