I'm planning to buy a new hand-held phone and bring it back to my country. I've heard that SIm LIm and Lucky Plaza offer cell phones at cheap prices. However, I also read horror stories of people getting ripped off at these places. Are there alternatives where one can find bargain prices for mobile phones? What about Mustafa, Best Denki, Harvey Norman, etc? Where do locals go when they want to buy brand new unlocked mobile phones? Or should I just risk buying a new phone at Sim Lim or Lucky Plaza?

My ex got me a Samsung phone in Plaza Singapura - there is a phone shop on the lowest floor, near a large Starhub shop. He is from Singapore and he heard from another friend that the best bargains are there especially if you shop during a huge sale or festive season.

Can trust to buy at Sun tec city with the shop name: (The Hand Phone Shop) or you can try buy in Toa payoh centre they have alot of hand phone shop have no contract and new phone & cheap, they also sell hand phone cover to prevent any damage, bring along a friend that is singaporean so your friend will get discount for you.(also can prevent you get cheated by bad sale person) I bought my hand phone there, without any contract, new phone, new style & cheap.
